Casual chess meets Monday and Friday afternoons, tournaments, weekly interclub matches
The Adelaide University Chess Club’s aim is to provide a fun and supportive atmosphere for social and competitive chess players. We are open to players of all abilities, from those new to the game to those who are more experienced. The club ethos is to make the great game of chess both enjoyable and accessible to everyone.
If you want to play a quick game of chess on a Monday or Friday afternoon, make sure to come to the hub for casual chess. If you're looking to play some serious tournament chess and want to represent the uni, we also field many teams for the SA interclub competition twice per year.
Casual Chess Meets: Monday (3:00pm - 6:30pm), Friday (3:00pm - 6:00pm), Hub Central, City East
Interclub Competition: 9 Rounds, Tuesdays 7:00pm, 21st April - 30th June, Chess Centre of South Australia
