The Adelaide University Law Students' Association strives to create opportunities for students at each stage of their law journey to connect with peers and develop skills that will help them succeed.
The Adelaide University Law Students' Association (AULSA) represents all law students and aims to provide a positive law school experience for students of the Adelaide Law School. AULSA membership is automatic and free if you are enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws at Adelaide University.
Following the merger of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, the Adelaide University Law Students' Society (AULSS) and the UniSA Law Students' Association (USALSA) which represented their respective law student cohorts, have combined their expertise to start a new chapter as the AULSA. We are immensely proud of the histories and achievements of the AULSS and USALSA and look forward to building on their strengths, traditions and rich legacies as a unified association.
The Association consists of Events, Education, Careers, Competitions, Social Justice & Equity and Communications Portfolios, which each run events and initiatives for all Association members. The Events Portfolio are our experts at creating fun, social events where you can take a break, hang out with friends and meet new people. The Education Portfolio runs a mentorship program for first-year law students, and skills development sessions that complement your studies and help you excel in your degree. The Careers Portfolio hosts industry evenings to expand your professional network, learn more about the legal profession and assist with your transition into the workforce. The Competitions Portfolio runs a series of competitions including Moots, Witness Examinations, Client Interviewing and Negotiations to help you develop your practical legal skills. The Social Justice & Equity Portfolio hosts charitable fundraisers and awareness-raising events, and our Communications Portfolio keeps you updated and entertained through our social media channels and law school magazine ‘The Hilarian’.

2026 AULSA Executive
