Herzlich Willkommen im AUGC! The Adelaide University German Club offers lots of events for anyone wanting to engage with German language and culture on the city east campus, and also provides opportunities to become more connected with the wider German-speaking community in Adelaide.
Join our friendly hosts for Kaffeeklatsch, our speaking hour, every Tuesday during semester from 12-2pm at Holy Addiction Hub Central to practise your speaking and listening skills. Members receive a $2 coffee or tea, and we use a variety of speaking prompts, reading material & games to keep the conversation flowing.
Otherwise, join us at the UniBar for Stammtisch from 5pm every odd week on Wednesdays and enjoy a members-only free beer or cider with us! Stick around to test your knowledge with the pub quiz!
Enjoy a variety of other events through the year, including a special return of Wine Night in collaboration with the French club and an Industry Networking night and a special Stammtisch during the mid semester break in Hahndorf in Semester 1 Alternating monthly drinks at the Austrian Club of South Australia and the South Australian German Association (Adelaide German Club); or get your Dirndl and Lederhosen ready for our annual Oktoberfest in Semester 2! Keen to sign up? Membership is $15 per academic year and can be purchased at any of our events. Sign up during clubsland and get membership for $10!
