Our mission
We're here to provide an inclusive, safe, engaging campus environment, and bring representation to students of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities at Adelaide University. With a small but dedicated committee and some lofty goals, we’ve worked hard over the years to build our reputation as a club that wants to improve queer student services at Adelaide University by advocating for:

  • ️A Queer Officer on the AUSA Student Representative Council
  • ️Access to appropriate medical and sexual health advice & referrals to queer-friendly organisations
  • ️Autonomous spaces on campus for queer students to relax in a safe environment
  • ️Counsellors with training and specialise in providing counselling to queer students
  • ️Gender-neutral bathrooms and toilet facilities on all campuses
  • ️Inclusive university policies to protect students and staff from discrimination
  • ️Maintaining an Ally Network of queer-friendly staff members who can provide support to queer students

Need help?
We're 100% run by queer students, so we understand the sensitive nature of issues that you may have experienced such as:
❤️ Coming out as queer
🧡 Discrimination from staff and students
💛 Finding like-minded queer friends
💚 Personal, moral, and religious conflict
💙 Questioning your gender identity and sexuality
💜 Relationship challenges
We can provide a connection to appropriate services such as QLife, but we're also happy to answer queries and concerns via email or social media DMs. We understand that not everyone would like to be personally identified; we always respect people's privacy and confidentiality. It's okay if you’re not open about your sexuality or gender identity - you're still welcome to attend our events. Let us know if you'd like more info about an event and we'll do everything we can to make it a comfortable experience.
