Australia-China Careers Panel

Curious about what a career in the Australia-China or East Asian space actually looks like and whether learning a language like Chinese could open doors you haven't considered yet?

Join us for an evening with three professionals who studied Chinese and went on to build careers spanning industry, policy and academia in the Australia-China relationship. Through a moderated panel discussion and live Q&A, they'll share how language study shaped their career paths, the opportunities and challenges of working across Australia and China and practical advice for students weighing whether to pursue Chinese language learning themselves.

This event is run in consultation with Adelaide University's language studies faculty and is designed to give you real, first-hand insight from people who've walked the path as well as inform about the various language studies options available to you.

No prior Chinese language experience required, just curiosity about where language study can take you.
