About Us

Our club is a student-led community bringing together people passionate about public health (also known as population health), from students and emerging professionals to academics and health practitioners.

We aim to promote professional development, networking, and public health advocacy, and are currently endorsed by the School of Public Health at Adelaide University.

Our recent events and activities have included:

  • A Climate Health event as part of Adelaide Climate Action Week, which involved expert guest speakers, a hands-on workshop, and networking
  • Club members assisting with the School of Public Health (SPH) booth at Open Day
  • Collaborating with organisations to prevent food wastage and combat food insecurity
  • Sharing opportunities forwarded to us from SPH and PHAA (Public Health Association of Australia) to our members (e.g. scholarships, free webinars, networking events)
  • Movie night at Union House Cinema in collaboration with the Film Society

Other future events we have planned include:

  • Interviewing public health experts on their domain of expertise
  • Volunteering day
  • Peer study groups around exam time, with senior students providing informal mentorship to more junior students
  • Picnics/Coffee - social hangouts with healthy snacks
